I am a Windmill byJade

I am a windmill and I come from Holland. I was built in 1890 in the 19^th century on a sunny day. One builder built me. I am 70 feet tall. I am in the middle of a large field. Each year visitors come to see me and learn how I work. They take photos of me and so I am very popular. I show people the wind’s speed. The paint on me is grey and white. The builder’s name is Anthony. It took him two years to build me. Now I am over one hundred years old.

I am a windmill. I go round with the wind. I look like a big flower. On a very windy day I go round very fast. This makes me very tired. Farmers use me to pump up water from wells to water their vegetables.

I am a windmill and I am like an anemometer. The windmill blows and I go round and round with the wind. In Holland there are real windmills and they are bigger than me. There are many colours on me. As a windmill I go round in the direction of the wind.
